EPISODE 144
Jose Antonio uncovers his money (which is really a stash of arms), but manages to turn the tide against his captor and escapes.
Fernandez continues to interrogate Linda, but Valverde enters. Fernandez tells Emilio that they were following Linda on suspicions that she was going to meet with Isadora. Emilio leaves with Linda, but Fernandez is hot on the trail.
The girls worry about what Leonardo is capable of after the confrontation last night. Felipe urges them to leave, but the girls don’t want to leave their mother. Felipe points out that they have a right to be happy, and if he had someone to love, he would no longer be at the ranch.
At the Alcazar Ranch, Flavio asks Samuel what’s the matter. Samuel shows Flavio the investment Emilio wanted to make. The investment is suspicious, but it somehow passed the board of directors. Now Samuel has to sign the document. His brothers tell him he simply can’t do that- if he does, he will be Emilio’s associate. Samuel feels his hands are tied- he’s the president of the bank, and the board already approved the project. Arturo insists, and Samuel agrees that he will try to stall why they figure something out, but at its core, his hands are tied.


Emilio tells Linda that she needs to cut ties with Isadora, and if she insists on meeting with her he will not help her. Roger brings Emilio his approved investment project at Samuel’s bank- this means that he now has a way to launder his money, and implicating Samuel in the whole project.
Fernandez is convinced that finding Isadora will be the key to trapping Emilio. Miranda is happy that Veronica is making peace with Soledad. Veronica tells her adopted mother that she is having a rough time, but Miranda urges her to see Soledad’s sacrifice.



Candela and Patricia talk about Edward- Candela tells her that Edward apologized, and Patricia thinks he’s in love with her, but Candela is not convinced. Isadora pays Ulysses and Roger a visit to talk business. She tells them that she wants them not to participate in the next arms shipment.
Flavio finds out that the board members who voted in favor of Emilio’s project received a raise in the same amount, on the same day- likely from Emilio. Meanwhile, Arturo shows up to Valverde’s house to confront him about the project. He tells Emilio that the bank board may have approved the project, but the Gallardos do not. He confronts Emilio about his shady nature, and accuses him of being Isadora’s accomplice. He also revelas that he inspected the land that Emilio wants to build houses on, and tells him he knows that land has water



Back at the Alcazar Ranch, Flavio and Samuel try to figure out how to prove that the board was bought out. They decide to consult the bank’s lawyer.
Candela visits Felipe on his saint day, and brings him a serenade. Unfortunately Cayetana and Leonardo arrive to ruin the party. After the confrontation, Felipe tells his granddaughters that he will not let them ruin their lives over Cayetana, and if he has to urge to Gallardo brothers to take them away by force, he will.



In Mexico, Fernandez meets Jose Antonio, who he thought had died all those years ago. He is overjoyed, and Jose Antonio tells him everything- including that the head of the illegal arms import organization is Emilio Valverde. He tells Fernandez that he knew he had been uncovered because he received a death threat. He told his native American friend to take the boys and Alma into hiding.
Samuel and Flavio reach a dead end with the lawyer when Andrea calls him to let them know that Leonardo and Cayetana are back.
Cabrera receives an unexpected visit from Rocio. She looks like she’s about to pass out, and leaves in a hurry.
The episode ends with Jose Antonio telling Fernandez that Emilio killed his wife.




EPISODE 145
Jose Antonio tells Fernandez that his sons can’t know that he is alive yet- he needs to trap Emilio, and he can’t know that he is still alive when he had given the order for Jose Antonio to die. Jose Antonio reveals that Emilio plans to ruin his sons, beginning through Samuel and the bank.
Arturo tells his brothers that he told Emilio he knew about the water under the proposed lot for development but that Emilio will go ahead and construct anyway. Samuel knows that it was a trap- he can’t prove Emilio bribed anyone, so he is in a corner. Arturo doesn’t let him though- he won’t let his brother give up. Fernandez calls to warn Samuel not to do any deals with Emilio- Valverde has a plan against Samuel. Samuel won’t sign, and is ready to assume any consequences.


Cayetana is enjoying her grandson, and showing him all the presents she brought for him. Sofia arrives and admires all the gifts Arturito received. Sofia asks her mother if she is happy, to which Cayetana replies that she is very.


At the Palenque, Ulysses toasts Leonardo on his new ranch. Back at the ranch, Rocio reveals to Nieves her secret- she is pregnant again, but this time the baby is Cabrera’s. Nieves encourages her to finally free Pablo- it’s not fair that she makes him raise another man’s child when they are not in love.


The girls go have dinner at the Alcazar Ranch. The boys encourage them to move to the Alcazar ranch, and that the doors of the ranch are always open for them. They remind the girls that they will not allow Cayetana and Leonardo to treat the sisters badly.


At the Palenque, Leonardo hires Matilde and Eleazar to work at the ranch, since they are enemies of the Gallardos. Back at the ranch, Isadora sneaks into the room. She is about to do something bad to the baby, but Felipe enters the room, and orders Rocio to take the baby to his room where he will remain until Sofia returns, foiling Isadora’s plan.
Arturo is getting impatient waiting for Sofia. He points out that he’s had to wait so long, and he is spending too much time away from her and Arturito. Sofia admits that he’s right, and that she will arrange things so that she can come live with him.



Pablo meets Veronica at the ranch, where she has come to visit the family for dinner. Pablo asks Veronica if she knows anything about Rocio, since she had mentioned to him to be careful that no one steals her away. Veronica reluctantly admits that yes, she saw Rocio with Cabrera.
Leonardo finds Isadora in Sofia’s bathtub. He demands to know what she’s doing there, and she replies that she was there to kill Sofia, but also to complete their vengeance- to kill Cayetana and Emilio. Leonardo says that Cayetana still needs to sign the fortune over to him, so he can’t act too quickly. Isadora encourages him to use his “tools” to win Cayetana over and release the fortune to him.



The episode ends with Eleazar and Matilde arriving at the Del Junco Ranch to take Soledad’s place.
